It is impossible to get tickets for the toy show. Most go to companys (ie sponsers of the show), then alot go to family’s of the people who work for the show, then some tickets go to the preforming kids parents and other people at Billie Barry’s. I reckon about 10 tickets if even that go to genaral sale. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Hello.. It is not impossible to get tickets..I was at last years toy show.. I just emailed into the show (email address on the RTE website). I have no connections to anyone related to the show. It was a brilliant night we got lots of freebies!! I know I was very lucky to get the tickets, I was sitting in the front row in the first two seats (me & mum) and we were shown a few times everyone at home saw us!
I did not write a boring “to whom it may concern I love the show please can I have two tickets… etc” I wrote a comical letter. Basically you have to catch the attention of the audience co-ordinator make them think okay this person is worthy of a ticket. I’m guessing that is why I got the tickets.

hello i have watched the show every christmas i can remember and i would like to ask 2 things: 1) do u have to send in ur email during september/october or can u send it in before hand? and if u can whats the email? 2)do u have to be over 18 to go?
You must be over 18 & emails/letters are only accepted during September & October… I sent mine during october. I cant remember the email address and it seems to be gone off the website so you would be better sending in a letter or ring the studio and ask for the email address.

The draw for the toy show tickets 2008 is over and all of the tickets have been given out
i tried getting them i sent a letter in and then emailed them. they are difficult 2 get the woman sed that i was emailing sed that there are 5000 people applying for them each year, so theres not a hope – till next year.. i dont think they want young people on it neway even if ur 20 because iv heard they ask ur age and only give so many 2 younger people.

hi ciara, i have tried so many times to get to the toy show this year, i would have loved to go. u have to be over 18 to get the audience tickets. even if your 18 its hard to get them, theyre mainly given to older people. i am over 18 and i am going to apply next year again..u could apply to demonstrate toys or read books at the book section maybe??or sing on it, if u wanted to do any of these u should send a letter to rte that might get u sumwer. otherwise get your parents to try get tickets for themselves and at least if they got them u would enjoy watching them at home and seeing all the free gifts they get,if u liked any of them im sure your parents would give them to u…anyway other than that thats all i know. i hope that helped u…

Hi I am counting down the days to this years late late christmas toy show as I have done ever since I was little. It has always been my dream to get a seat in such a wonderful show which has always had a warm, fun and exciting atmosphere.Please please give me the best christmas gift that a huge christmas and late late fan could receive and make my wish come true, thank you
Personally, I think it would be a great idea if RTE invited applications from everybody who would like to attend the LATE LATE TOY SHOW 2010 with a maximum of 2 tickets per household, to make it fair on everybody and then let a computer generate the results. The online application should be able to register the IP addresses also to reduce multiple requests and simply say “Thank you for your Entry” or if people are chancing their arm by been greedy, it should say “Your entry has already been received” and if greedy people try it again, it should say “You have forfeited your entry, try again next year!”
Basically the format should be as follows:
