I was a terrible hitter before high school ball. I could run fast and pitch but my coordination and reflexes were just off. I don't know if it was a mental block on my part or if I just didn't mature fast enough. I was embarrassed, the team bunter, fielder, and pinch runner, lol. Oh well. Really cool pics by the way, can I assume it was one of those multi-shot cameras or are you just really quick?

I like the photo of the swing showing the power behind the bat. Unfortunately for the batter the ball is behind the bat as well.

The speed of the ball at 80 to 93 mph is fast but the bat speed is important as well. Although much slower it makes a difference. If you can get your bat speed up the ball goes radically further on the hit. +7 mph/35 feet +12 mph/60 feet +15 mph/75 feet +18 mph/90 feet

Bat speed and power hitting takes practice but the most important thing as in your photo shows, the bat has to hit the ball.

[...] How are the White Sox doing this year? I went to see several baseball games in Chicago and they were always a blast. More a social occasion than anything else. I of course had my camera, here are some shots from a White Sox game, and here’s the famous game where Sammy Sosa used a corked bat! That was my first baseball game, watched from a corporate box owned by Fox! [...]
