Well, I’m not sure, but here’s a list of features (and I read elsewhere that carrying a torch does not light your way, it still has to be placed) and there’s the video above which I found here.
That NPC village looks nice!

The Sun are giving away Arma II, Men of War and Tower Bloxx Deluxe. Get the codes here. You’ll need to create an account on Green Man Gaming but the codes work and cost nothing, but only for this weekend!
I have no illusions that this might make me a better player but it might make it easier to be a bad player.
Check out reddit thread too!
I’m not going to post screenshots, even though I want to. Don’t want to spoil the surprise! More seeds can be found here and I found this one here.
Apparently nobody uses the in-game team chat in Bad Company 2 on PC so lots of people use Mumble. Unfortunately that can have unforeseen consequences when both teams are on the same Mumble server…
Defender: Watch out guys, we have enemies in the back of our base
Attacker: …….no i’m not……
Next time I fire up the game on PC I’ll join that Mumble server and see for myself. (via)
I think one person who reads this blog may have had actual experience in the military but for the rest of us the closest we get is through video games and Bad Company 2 in particular. This question on Reddit asks, “DAE wonder how they would fare in actual war?” and thankfully most people on the thread are realistic.
One person linked to http://www.history.army.mil/moh.html where the reports behind medals awarded to military personnel are recorded. Worth reading if you’re all gung-ho about war..
*DUNHAM, JASON L.
Rank and Organization: Corporal, United States Marine Corps
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as Rifle Squad Leader, 4th Platoon, Company K, Third Battalion, Seventh Marines (Reinforced), Regimental Combat Team 7, First Marine Division (Reinforced), on 14 April 2004. Corporal Dunham’s squad was conducting a reconnaissance mission in the town of Karabilah, Iraq, when they heard rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire erupt approximately two kilometers to the west. Corporal Dunham led his Combined Anti-Armor Team towards the engagement to provide fire support to their Battalion Commander’s convoy, which had been ambushed as it was traveling to Camp Husaybah.
As Corporal Dunham and his Marines advanced, they quickly began to receive enemy fire. Corporal Dunham ordered his squad to dismount their vehicles and led one of his fire teams on foot several blocks south of the ambushed convoy. Discovering seven Iraqi vehicles in a column attempting to depart, Corporal Dunham and his team stopped the vehicles to search them for weapons.
As they approached the vehicles, an insurgent leaped out and attacked Corporal Dunham. Corporal Dunham wrestled the insurgent to the ground and in the ensuing struggle saw the insurgent release a grenade. Corporal Dunham immediately alerted his fellow Marines to the threat. Aware of the imminent danger and without hesitation, Corporal Dunham covered the grenade with his helmet and body, bearing the brunt of the explosion and shielding his Marines from the blast. In an ultimate and selfless act of bravery in which he was mortally wounded, he saved the lives of at least two fellow Marines. By his undaunted courage, intrepid fighting spirit, and unwavering devotion to duty, Corporal Dunham gallantly gave his life for his country, thereby reflecting great credit upon himself and upholding the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service. How to get into the tunnel if you’re coming from the NVA side. That might explain how in my very first game there were a few enemy at the mouth of this cave. I lobbed a grenade in and got a hit marker but I didn’t know the terrain at the time so I got killed eventually. (via)

The guys on reddit give rush on White Pass a thumbs up but I’m worried that all the crates are in buildings.
Still, might give it a go tonight.
