Mel Blanc: What’s up Doc?

Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny and many more characters, is the subject of this great Radiolab podcast. Well worth a listen.

Also see his Wikipedia page. You’ll smile when you hear the story of how he came out of his coma.

Gomaith: cartuin as Gaeilge

tuesdayirish.jpg

Gomaith is an online cartoon in Irish that is yet in it’s infancy but promises to provide, “an irreverent look at the world from the high stool.”

Not all the cartoons are funny but there are a few nuggets of gold in there. Oh, and there’s an English translation too, so don’t be afraid to click the link! (via)

That dirty rotten dna

If you’ve never read the cartoons on biffsniff.com then you’re really missing out. They’re mostly drawn by Frank Prendergast and occasionally by guest cartoonists and they’re all extremely funny and clever. Frank’s a school friend I hadn’t seen in years but bumped into at the IT@Cork pre-conference dinner the other week.
Best of all, they’ve just moved to WordPress!

Guest cartoon by Bob Byrne.
