Matt responds to all the “noise”.
If I could devote one-tenth of the energy Matt does to Free Software I’d be happy with myself, so I’m glad he has defended himself so well.
I wonder if I’d be allowed to host a few Google ads for WordPress.org here?

I was actually thinking that. Why not have some kind of opt-in part of wordpress that if someone has google ads on their blog that the top ad will be one that is served from Matt’s account ? If every Wordpress Blog that had ads has just one ad that contributed to Matt’s welfare I’m sure he wouldn’t have to resort to the shady side of ad serving.
From the Google AdSense Terms & Conditions:
“Parties’ Responsibilities. You are solely responsible for the Site(s), including all content and materials, maintenance and operation thereof, … ”
Somehow I can’t see Matt being able to take on the responsibility for every Wordpress powered site, but it was a good idea.
