Trials HD is Kickstart for the next generation

Fans of gaming in the 80′s will surely recognise the name Kickstart 2. It was a motorbike racing game, running over all sorts of obstacles. It was fiendishly difficult to control but very enjoyable. The tiny graphics animated well and even supported two players racing split screen. If you enjoyed that game you’ll love Trials HD.

I played the demo of Trials HD on the Xbox 360 last night and couldn’t leave it alone until I finished the (unfortunately) short demo. Playing it involved plenty of crashes though, and it can be frustrating, but it’s fun, it’s pretty and it’s well worth trying out!

I’m too young to have played Kickstart, but that Trials game looks great! Sadly I have a PS3 instead of a 360 (gotta get me both soon I guess). It’ll all be worth it though once GT5 (finally) comes out. :P

I downloaded it the night before and purchased the full version last night, the stages get a lot more tricky after the levels in the demo, it really is a fantastic game.

Since I saw the demo of it, I couldn’t help thinking I’d seen something similar before and then it hit me…

Oh I HAVE to download that tonight. It looks super!

Loved the Original Kickstart (that and BMX Kidz were my C64 favourites!), so anything that can help recapture it will be welcomed with open arms :)

I love in the second video when they say “real” world physics and yet none of the guy’s limbs fly off, when he gets trampled or caught in an explosion :)

I thought I was the only one who noticed how much like Kikstart it was.. looks like I’m not as original as I thought.

Got the game over the weekend, and I have to say its a lot of fun. Being so close to Kikstart is just a bonus. Anything that takes me back to my Spectrum days is going to be a winner :)

Trials HD looks awesome!

I remember playing (and watching the TV show) Kickstart as a kid on my C64, before my power pack overheated and threw a wobbly.

Will keep a look out for Trials HD in teh shops soon.
