The Price of Petrol/Gas

Having stumled across this post about the price of petrol I decided to find out how I’m paying per US Gallon.
I used Google to convert from gallon to litre which told me:

1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litre

The last time I bought petrol it was priced at 1.09 Euro/lt. Do the maths and you have expensive petrol, no matter how you look at it.

We have expensive petrol relative to the US but our petrol is on average around 15c cheaper than other Eurozone countries.

Yeah, it seems like a waste to pay so much for petrol and cars… for the privilege of driving in traffic. (A pet peeve of mine.)

Sorry to hear that it’s not cheaper than in the US.

@ Dave – Didn’t some newspaper publish that our Diesel is 15% and petrol a few percent dearer than the average EU price?
