In 2003 I spent three nights scared out of mind in Chicago whilst a thunderstorm like I had never seen before in my life swept through the city….makes the odd storm we have here look gentle!

I have to agree with you Caoimhe! The storm was awful, but thankfully only lasted a few hours. Later on we were walking around downtown when another storm struck. We found shelter and I took a few dozen snaps of people running for cover!

I love Thunderstorms. I used to see loads of them when I did the J1 in 2003 and I used to never get tired of watching them. Even cooler was the way you could turn on the Weather Channel and the Radar was able to tell you exactly when a storm was going to hit!
