I didn’t let up much after taking over 6,500 photos last year I’m already over halfway there this year. The photo below is the 10,000th photo to be taken with my Sony F717. It’s rather unremarkable except that I learnt a lot today about using the histogram, and the GIMP distort tool is very handy [...]
In this crash test a much smaller Mini^h^h^h^hMINI came off much better than a Ford pickup in a simulated 40mph crash. Look at how both cars crumpled! I wouldn’t like to be in that Ford. Owen, you can get me a good deal on a new car then?
Here’s a good tutorial from Andy Williams on the STF. It’s illustrated by screenshots and looks like a good use of the clone tool, and cleanup using layers and other tools. Good stuff!
The last episode of Friends aired a few minutes ago. I used to be a fan years ago, but to be honest I haven’t watched it much in a while. Good episode though.
Pretty cool idea here.. Go out for a few drinks, enjoy yourself, leave a cigarette lighter behind. See what happens to the lighter… in Limerick!
Believe it or not, it’s barely rained in 2 weeks in Ireland! Temperatures are in the mid-twenties and we’re dying here in the heat. It’s great! That’s a sure sign that school exams are about to start! So, what’s it like in Barcelona these days? Hey – J! Hope you’re having a great time there
We really shouldn’t laugh should we? I never have quite figured out why the sexual urges of men & women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing…. Google has more links in case of link death. Thanks Dot for sending that on!
Looks like a fairly major bug in Fedora Core 2 from RedHat. If you have WinXP installed before you install FC2 grub, or something, will destroy your partition table and possibly other data. There are a few solutions mentioned on the page above and there’s more on slashdot and the Fedora Test mailing list. I [...]
Last night, as I mentioned previously we went to see “Oh! What a Night” in the Cork Opera House. In one word? Wow! It’s a highly-charged musical set in 1970′s New York, mostly in a disco called Inferno and the auditioning for a movie about a new phenomenon called “disco dancing”! The musical is all [...]
I’ve added code to the referer checking to check for a few common bots: “http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/slurp” “http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html” “http://www.blogdigger.com/” “http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm” “Feedster, LLC.” “http://www.breakingblogs.com/timbo_bot.html” “fastbuzz.com” “http://www.pubsub.com/” “http://www.bloglines.com” “http://www.drupal.org/” “Ask Jeeves/Teoma” “ia_archiver” “http://minutillo.com/steve/feedonfeeds/” There are others but these showed up in the access logs of the last few minutes! Sorry guys, your referer lists will be a lot shorter [...]
