Netcraft: www.sco.com is a weapon of mass destruction

This is so funny! Go read it and wait and see if SCO slashdots Slashdot! Much of the commentary on the SCO distributed denial of service scenario, including our own, has been based on the premise that SCO badly wants to keep their web site running. This may not be the case: unlike Microsoft, which [...]

Cube – Open Source FPS for Windows and Linux

Cube – This looks like an interesting game. It’s got some pretty screenshots and the blurb makes it look appealing. Cube is an open source multiplayer and singleplayer first person shooter game built on an entirely new and very unconventional engine. Cube is a landscape-style engine that pretends to be an indoor FPS engine, which [...]

CD-R Failures, are labels safe?

Further to my previous post on this topic, Liam on #linux pointed me at this report. I really need to store my backup DVD-Rs standing up and in a dark place instead of having the jewel cases lying on an old PC in my room..

I don’t expect that to happen here in Ireland at least. Has it [...]

Right lads, I need to get busy as I’ve still got a few things to do from this list in the next 2 years! Who’s on for a parachute jump? lol. (via Owen) Too late! I’m 31 now. Doh! But life couldn’t be better!

Pic of the day – Rugby Action

Amazing action shot from a rugby match in Ulster. Whatever about the guy leaping through the air, I love the expression on the opposing team player on the ground!

HTMLArea — the free, customizable online editor

This editor is very cool. There’s a good example too but I have noticed something odd. If you link to a relative link or a variable such as {$link} then the editor adds in the full path to the editor directory. At least you can toggle HTML preview on and off!
