How to upgrade from NULL to RH …

How to upgrade from NULL to RH8 using apt. A bit scary but certainly do-able. I’d have updated glibc using rpm as a later comment pointed out instead of trying to remove it and then updating it. I did it on a dev server long ago and the server wasn’t rebooted for ages, so it can be done!
